The purpose of this blog is not "beautiful photos" nor "ancestor photos," it is to share my "personal life"...in photos. Because "My Heritage is happening"... Hope you enjoy!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the number of moments that take our breathe away anonymous

Skagway, Alaska ~ Water, Snow, and Blue Sky

Water (of any kind) is always my favorite…peaceful.

The next couple of photos share interesting patterns, with trees, mountains and snow!

The trees look so small in the distance.

How deep is the snow below?

Finally, some blue (my favorite) sky!

Skagway, Alaska ~ In Town

Adorable shops...

and buildings.

A great train... and views.

Skagway, Alaska ~ Around Town

No one we know in this photo. I wanted to take a shot of the road, mountains and buildings so you can see how close it all is in comparison to one another.

Do you see in the window, miner helmets! Anyone want to go mining?

The mountains are right on top of this town. Amazing to me, so close to town and so much snow.

The saloon in Skagway.

There is most definitely a place to go to eat, drink and be merry!

If you don't want to drink in the bar, you can buy your spirits to take home instead.

Skagway, Alaska ~ Lots of Fog and Snow

Laying like a blanket…

So soft at a distance.

The lone tree sure looks colorful against the fog.

Can you tell were the photo below begins?

Love the pattern and with the fog.

The fog, hiding behind the trees.

The fog is dissipating.

It is only at the very top...

Color is returning!

There is the blue sky! (…and a reflection from the window…)

Skagway, Alaska ~ Rock Painting

As we approached Skagway this is what we saw...

...it seemed to go on and on...

...and on.

It was amazing...

…how decorated the rocks were.

I wonder who AJG is…

There were even rocks with ship line logos of those who made stops here.

Skagway, Alaska ~ Whitepass

We made it to Whitepass!

Waterfall, frozen or not?

The Flags.

Blue Ice.

I thought this was beautiful.

Looks like the tracks are covered in snow...

Time to head back down.

Skagway, Alaska ~ High in the Mountains

Yes, we are still on a train.

I love the bit of blue sky poking through as well as the plant life.

More blue, teeny bit of sky, but a stronger blue, water! The train path is visible.

Most photos taken from the train as we were moving, so can't complain if they are a bit crooked.

The higher we went, the deeper the snow, pretty natural.

Weather sure has changed.

One of my favorite shots of the train tracks.
